Dolphins every day!

Perfect!

This property exceeded our expectations. We were a little nervous about how far the house was to the ocean and about sharing the public beach access. However, neither were an issue. The walk wasn't far and the beach was beautifully uncrowded! Thank you! - (Jul 2019)

Quick Trip

We only came for a long weekend and unfortunately it rained most of the time. With that being said, the unit was adequate. As some other reviewers have said it would be nice if there were more kitchen items but for our short stay it was fine. We would definitely come back again and hope for better weather. - (Apr 2019)

Great location, wonderful beach access and views

This home had everything our family needed to make it an enjoyable, relaxing vacation. The beach access is excellent, the beach wasn't crowded, it was clean and the view was wonderful. There were really no issues at all with the home, we found it clean, comfortable, and everything worked well. I would highly recommend this for a large family. The beds were great, the bathrooms were great, the kitchen was well stocked, and overall we had everything we needed - (Mar 2019)

Family Spring Break

It was very close to the beach it was well-maintained we had plenty of space and the view was spectacular. We saw the best sunsets and sunrises we have ever seen. The beach was very private with very few other people Around. Outside there were some very very large bushes that need to be trimmed back in the front of the home that were really blocking the view from the front porch. We did see a couple of ants in the master bedroom and I think removing the bushes away from the house would help with that problem as well. We will absolutely be back to stay in this home! - (Mar 2019)

Great Getaway!

Great Getaway! Home is perfectly situated very close to the beach with all the amenities that made our reunion perfect. Large home, nice bedrooms and great A/C made our vacation very enjoyable. If you are looking for a place away from the main attractions, traffic and crowded beaches then this is your place. Close enough to take in a trip to town in about eight minutes and a golf course within five miles. Everything worked in the home but the tub/shower upstairs does drain slower than usual after use (we did not call maintenance as it was not a big deal in our opinion). No complaints from anyone of the guys and these guys complain about everything! - (May 2018)

Great peaceful location.

Perfect location for a peaceful getaway. The house has amazing views of the gulf and plenty of room for the family. It was about 90 degrees during our stay and the ac kept the entire house nice and cool. Lots of sting rays and crabs were keeping us company on the beach along with the seagulls , we even saw a couple dolphins jumping. I recommend anyone looking for a relaxing get away from the crowds to stay in this house. - (May 2018)

Spectacular Views

We have rented homes in this area for vacations since the mid 80's and "Dune Refuge" has the best views of all. You have 180 degrees vista of the protected dunes and beach of Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. The boardwalk to the most beautiful beach is just a few steps away. The house is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The upstairs bedrooms each have a dormer seat which is another fantastic view. We loved watching dolphins from the living room. You are close to trails and kayaking offered through the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge which is another bonus. It is a peaceful and charming vacation home. - (Dec 2017)

Love this place!!

This was our second time staying at the Dune Refuge house in Fort Morgan and it was once again so nice!! The only problem that we had was the bushes that were blocking the view of the beach from most of the porch. The views are still great from where you can see, but it would be nice to have those trimmed. Other than that, it was just as perfect as we remembered. It is especially great if you want to be out of the crowded beaches near all the condos on the main strip. At one point, we were the only people on the beach.
